Just how "niche" can the internet be? Well, consider this example. My wife is a medical professional and is always putting her pens into her lab coat opened and thus her coat suffers from the dreaded blue blots.

Well, try finding one.
After numerous calls to office supply stores and university stores, I was finally pulled into the search process. And of course, my first response was to hit the internet. A closed quote search on Google for: "pocket protector" came up with the cleverly named www.pocketprotectors.com
How simple was that? And this little site is a prime example of what I'm talking about in my 60 Second Idea. It ain't glamorous but it got our sale by offering a product that we needed. This, my friends, is a niche concept.
Oh, BTW, for those of you skeptical of just how large the "pocket protector" market is, last month on the Yahoo network, "pocket protector" was searched 1539 times!
